Vicki designs and fabricates jewelry from sterling, fine silver, copper, brass, and gold. She often incorporates glass pieces as well as semi-precious stones, beads, and frequently uses beach stones and other found objects.

She has studied metal smithing and jewelry for several years. She began her exploration of jewelry through beading as a high school student. A short time later she began to practice ornamental blacksmithing and eventually combined jewelry with her blacksmithing skills to learn about silver and goldsmithing; allowing her to create smaller scale metal sculptural work.
